The General and Business Meeting will be held on Thursday, December 4th, 7PM at Desert Vista. This is a Club business meeting, so it is very important that we have attendance by a quorum of 100 or more members.
We have two important activities:
(1) We will conduct the election of the 2009 Board of Directors. Since there are no contested positions, the vote will be by show of hands.
(2) We will also have our annual holiday celebration, featuring extra nice desserts and entertainment arranged by Ed Matthews.
Because the January General Meeting date falls on January 1, 2009 and we were unable to secure the ballroom on January 8, the Board decided to CANCEL the January 1 general meeting.
Notice of
2009 Bylaws Approval and 2009 Budget Approval
Election
At the February 5th, 2009 general business meeting, the Computer Club members will vote to approve an update to the club's Bylaws. A draft of the Bylaws document is now posted on this website for review and comment by members. To view the draft bylaws, click HERE. At the same meeting, club members will also vote to approve the club's 2009 budget and spending plan.
As of November 24, our 2008 SCSCC paid memberships total 1336. For 2009, we have 411 new or renewed members.
"Early Bird" new and renewal dues season is now in effect. See the Membership page for full details.
As usual, we have a great line-up of classes, seminars and SIGs for December . See the December calendar as well as the Seminars, Classes, "SIGs" and "KKs” pages for full details. Our education program is one of the great benefits of belonging to the Club. No matter what your experience or skill level, you should find something to suit your needs.
